There are many poor villages in Vietnam, especially amongst the Ethnic Minority Tribes. It is common for these Villagers to subsist in a bamboo thatch cottage with a dirt floor and with no bathroom or toilet facilities.

COCOA began a housing construction program in 2005 and has completed 40 houses to date.

The estimates of the Binh Phuoc People’s Committee in 2004 put the overall housing needs at 40,000 for the Province.

Sanitation is an important requisite for improving the health of Minority Villagers, especially children. By the provision of a toilet/bathroom with each house, it encourages these families to improve their habits and so improve their health

It is COCOA’s desire to continue the Family Assistance Program in Binh Phuoc Province for many years and also in other poor areas of Vietnam also as more funds become available.

By supporting the Family Assistance Program, many poor families can be provided with a house.

Funds for the support of this Program are needed continuously.

Please help a family to receive a new house with your support today

Each house cost around $2,500 depending on the area and the closeness to materials supply.
